Get help with estimating the likely cost of rebuilding

If you'd like to source a valuation from a quantity surveyor or valuation professional, you can use the links below to find a professional near you. If you have extensive retaining walls at your home, you may need to engage a Chartered Professional Engineer to get an accurate valuation for these.

Note IAG does not guarantee the appropriateness or correctness of any estimated costs or valuations you receive from any source.

A quantity surveyor or valuation professional may be able to assist with arriving at an estimate of the likely cost of rebuilding your home, either by helping you to answer questions such as the age, size and construction materials used, or by providing a more detailed assessment.

Legal advice

You may wish to discuss your Sum Insured policy with your lawyer; particularly if there is any part of your policy you do not understand, or if your property involves complex issues such as body corporate or cross lease ownership. If you don't already have a lawyer, you can use the Law Society's 'Find a Lawyer' search function in the Property Law section . Please visit
